About UGC NET Exam:
University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) is a national-level examination conducted to select candidates for the role of Assistant Professor, as well as for both the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions in Indian universities and colleges. The exam is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

UGC NET Exam Pattern:
The UGC NET consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, which are conducted consecutively without intermission. The total duration of the exam is 3 hours. Candidates have the flexibility to allocate time as desired between the two papers. Paper 1 contains 50 multiple choice questions, while Paper 2 contains 100.

• Paper 1 assesses teaching and reasoning ability, research aptitude, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness among all candidates.
• Paper 2 focuses on the subject chosen by the candidate to test their specialized knowledge and expertise.
• Candidates have a total of 180 minutes for both papers. They are free to move between papers or questions during this time.
• Questions carry 2 marks each, with no negative marking in either paper.
